Prachuap Khiri Khan: Food & Cafe Curated List

Prachuap Khiri Khan: Food & Cafe Curated List

Never-ending beach, smooth sand, with limestone and dusky monkey? If you're looking for a chill, still preserved, authentic coastal destination in Thailand, Prachuap Khiri Khan might be a place for you. Away from all the craziness of Phuket, Phattaya, Phrachuap Khiri Khan offers a totally different feeling. With fisherman's boat, an almost untouched beach, and affordable food.

1. Breakfast at Local Market

Grab a cup of Thai coffee or Thai tea in the morning while nibbling a freshly cooked Pa thong ko (Thai fried dough) with the view of locals shopping at the wet market. If you sit down early enough (around 6 or 7AM) you might see some monks going through the market and local sellers offering and praying.

2. Enjoying the hot afternoon at Rosana Book Cafe

During the dry season, it can get very hot, we love this cafe particularly because it has a nice cool breezy wind. The cold brew is also really good, with lemon flavour.

3. Lunch at Aunty Lek

Supper affordable (a bit spicy), we eat green curry chicken, pad kra pao, and 2 drinks for 140 bath. ;)

4. Afternoon snacks at Phun Thai Coffee

It's one of the best cafe if you just want to chill, read, even work :)

5. Dinner with sunset view at daddy's home

it's the best tom kha gai we've ever tasted

6. Night Market

they have big market on weekends but the shorter market always there every single night. Our fave is salt grilled fish.

Overall I absolutely love Prachuap Khiri Khan, even though it was a bit hot during dry season, it's still a chill, authentic, beautiful place to stay. My favourite out of all list is the salt baked fish, and the night market on a weekend. There you have it my curated food & cafe list for Prachuap Khiri Khan, hope you have a wonderful time roaming around, till next time, bye.
